Vacamp in Claude
Ask Claude where you can sleep this weekend, and it asks the campsites. The Vacamp connector gives Claude the same map, live availability and stay watches as the app.
Connecting
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- Find Vacamp in the directory and press Connect. If it
isn't listed for you yet, choose Add custom connector, name it Vacamp, and
enter
https://vacamp.app/mcp. - A Vacamp page opens. Continue with Google to sign in; it is the same account as on the web map, so your tokens and watches are already there.
Any other assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol connects the same way, at the same address, and signs in the same way.
What to ask
- “Find campsites near Hamburg with space for two adults and a dog from 14 to 16 August.”
- “Which campsites on Fanø can you check live, and what would that cost?”
- “Watch Elbepark Bunthaus for the first weekend in September and tell me when it opens up.”
- “How many tokens do I have left?”
What Claude can do
- Search the map and open a campsite. Free, and shows whatever availability Vacamp already knows for your dates.
- Check availability live. Asks each campsite's own booking system, and spends your tokens exactly as the app does: one per campsite answered, nothing for an answer you already paid for or a check that fails. Claude can price a check before it runs one.
- Watch a stay. Vacamp re-checks it in the background and notifies your signed-in devices when it becomes available. Claude can list and remove your watches too.
- Report coverage. How many campsites Vacamp can check, overall or in one area.
Claude can't book. As in the app, you book with the campsite directly, and Vacamp takes no commission.
Disconnecting
Signing in adds an AI assistant to your account's devices, in the account panel of the web map or the app. Signing it out there ends Claude's access at once. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings; deleting your Vacamp account removes everything.
What Vacamp sees
Vacamp receives what Claude sends to use a tool, such as a map area, dates, party size or a campsite, never your conversation. The privacy policy has the details.
